🌸 End-of-Year Blog Highlight: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs 🌸 Ambitions & Realities: Yo Quiero Dinero 2025 Spotlights This year, as Midwest Mujeres celebrates our first year as an official nonprofit, we also honor the incredible women who have trusted us with their stories and dreams through Yo Quiero Dinero 2025. Their journeys inspire us every day! Two of these remarkable mujeres are Stephanie Habeck and Georgina Guerrero Hernandez. Thanks, Mujer! 💇🏽‍♀️ Stephanie – “I dream of thriving and being able to afford life.” Stephanie is a cosmetologist and the owner-operator of Stephanie’s Chair. Like many women in our community, she joined Yo Quiero Dinero while juggling the basics of life: “Paying rent, monthly bills, car, everything to live.” She hoped the program would provide her with support, business-building skills, and help her step out of her comfort zone. Inside the circle, she discovered community and clarity: Most valuable lesson: “How to get to the point.” What surprised her most: “The community.” Being in the room reminded her that she already knows more than she realizes and that her story is worth telling. Financially, she’s honest about her ongoing hustle: “I dream of thriving and being able to afford life.” Her reality is exactly why Midwest Mujeres exists: not to offer overnight success stories, but to walk alongside women who are still fighting to cover rent, still building, still dreaming — and who deserve a community at their back. 🏡 Georgina – “I had dreams and wishes, but thanks to Yo Quiero Dinero, I have ambitions and realities.” 🌸 Georgina is the owner of AmigosServices, LLC, a home daycare and bilingual services business. Before joining Yo Quiero Dinero, her biggest challenge wasn’t just financial — it was confidence and isolation: “The lack of confidence, not having a support system or a network.” She joined the program to learn what it truly takes to succeed in business for the first time. You still have time to step inside, ask questions, and imagine what could happen if you gave your voice the space it deserves. Voices & Dreams Academy is more than a public-speaking program. More than 50 people joined us for the Voices & Dreams Academy kickoff, and the room was filled with energy, courage, and connection. Women, coaches, alumni, professional speakers, and community members came together to learn about the Academy and build meaningful relationships. Our open mic was one of the evening's most powerful moments, with stories shared by women from Janesville, Milwaukee, and Madison. Each story reminded us why spaces like Voices & Dreams matter. When women are given the opportunity to speak, be heard, and connect with others, something powerful happens. By the end of the evening, attendees had formed new connections with financial coaches, empowerment leaders, entrepreneurs, and experienced professional speakers. We left feeling more connected, more encouraged, and excited about what comes next.
