Invest in You: A Black & Brown Women’s Wellness and Wealth Experience in Madison
Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. | 4703 Madison Yards Way, Madison, WI
When was the last time you made room to think about your health, your money, and the future you want for yourself?
Invest in You is an afternoon created for that conversation. Black and Brown women and their friends are invited to connect with local business owners, explore wellness resources, and hear an honest panel discussion about caring for ourselves while building financial security. Come for the ideas. Stay for the people you might not have met anywhere else.
Meet the women leading the conversation

Tracy Anderson, host of the Hustle Her Way podcast and a community-focused professional at Park Bank, will moderate the panel. Tracy’s conversations with women about work, identity, and the paths they have built make her a natural guide for an afternoon about investing in ourselves.
Araceli Esparza, founder and Executive Director of Midwest Mujeres, is an author, speaker, coach, and women’s circle facilitator. Her work connects storytelling, healing, leadership, and economic opportunity, especially for Latina and Black women.
Shahayra Majumder, co-owner of Hydrate IV Bar – Madison, brings her experience in healthcare, business, and community building to the conversation. Hydrate IV Bar – Madison is organizing Invest in You and bringing these local voices together.
Allison Mead, founder of TrainConAllison and a fitness trainer, brings movement into a discussion that often focuses only on money. She will help us consider how caring for our bodies fits into the future we are working to build.
Monica Weitzel, a bilingual community engagement and hospitality professional, knows the power of bringing people together. She has worked with Midwest Mujeres before through community events and is part of its 2026 Voices & Dreams storytelling cohort.
Whitney Lazo-Doll, a real estate professional with Accord Realty, brings a housing perspective to the conversation about wealth and opportunity.
Together, they will explore a question many women live with every day: How do we care for ourselves now while creating more choices for our future?

Monica Weitzel has helped create community wellness events and is developing her own story with this year’s cohort. Cassie Hoye has worked with the organization on branding and media.
