Maria Elena Matos-Schultz's story will be shown on video during our intermission and live on YouTube!
Sanadora bicultural | Bicultural healer and caregiver
Maria Elena Matos-Schultz has built a meaningful career in healthcare that bridges two worlds — Peru and the United States. Before immigrating in 2014, she spent nine years as a clinical psychologist working in hospitals, clinics, and private practice.
Her move to Madison marked a new chapter, where she continued her lifelong dedication to health and healing as a Resident Assistant and Certified Nursing Assistant.
Today, as the leader of I Care LLC, Maria Elena provides compassionate respite care for adults with dignity and love. Her story embodies adaptability, purpose, and service — a testament to how one woman’s commitment to healing can cross borders and languages, bringing comfort con corazón to every community she touches.
Maria es una Sanadora | She is a Bicultural healer and caregiver. Maria has also been supporting Midwest Mujeres as a monthly supporter and member. She has started and participated in many women's circles locally over the years. Because of the nature of her work, she is a caregiver and someone you might see in a time of crisis. We are very honored to know her and have her part of our community!
